Ever since plastic was discovered in 1935, plastic bags have been part of our daily lives, and as such have contributed much to environmental hazards world-wide. Plastic bags have become such a routine part of our shopping, that on average each person uses about 2 plastic bags per day!

Multiply that by the people living in the US alone and you get more than 600 million bags per day being used!
